Not all scanners are created equally, especially when dealing with real-world industrial environments. From the warehouse to the production floor and even outdoors, the Honeywell Granit series was made to handle anything you throw at it… literally… or anything you throw it at not that we advise using this as a weapon… So, if you’ve got tough users, or challenging environments, the Granit might be just the thing for you. And, yes, Bear Grills, the famous outdoorsman would be jealous. Wet, dry, cold, hot… Need to scan something 50 feet up the mountain? Go for it. The Granit can handle it.
From what we can see, Honeywell’s new Granit series of industrial-grade area-imaging scanners were engineered specifically for businesses that value device durability and expect high performance scanning. The custom built IP65-rated housing is able to withstand 5,000 3.3´ (1 m) tumbles and survive 50 drops from 6.5´ (2 m) at -30°C (-22°F) reducing service costs and increasing device uptime. So what? Here’s the so-what: most scanners can only handle….
Beyond durability, the Honeywell Granit, includes Adaptus 6.0 imaging technology and decoding architecture found in the best-in-class Xenon series. This means your mobile workers will have exceptional barcode reading accuracy… up to 50ft from the target! Different versions of the Honeywell Granit can scan virtually all 1D and 2D barcodes from 6 in (15 cm) to over 50 ft (15 m) away.
