What You’ll Do

Develop meaningful relationships with clients to encourage trust and loyalty

  • Prospect for new clients through a high volume of client touchpoints to effectively grow your book of business
  • Follow up on cold and warm leads to further the sales process via multiple methods including cold calling, email messaging, social media initiatives, and other sales techniques
  • Research current and potential clients to understand their business, and educate them on the value of working with Heartland
  • Understand and demonstrate the product or service to the client
  • Set and meet sales goals and objectives set by leadership
  • Improve sales skills to increase sales success rates
  • Collaborate with peers and industry partners to bring the best technology solutions to your clients

Inside Sales Representative applicants should have impressive presentation and public speaking skills, as they regularly provide product demonstrations to potential clients both virtually and in person, to a technically adept audience. Effective research abilities are also ideal for candidates to have, as they must research potential clients and understand their needs and preferences to display the product in a way that appeals directly to the consumer.

  • 2+ years of experience in industries such as technology, retail, restaurant, hotel, fitness and/or any sales experience
  • Experience working or interacting with people, for example: community involvement, student organizations/clubs, internships and/or sports
  • Strong interpersonal skills, very detailed, strong organizational and time management skills, ambitious, outgoing, persuasive, influential, and tech savvy
